Comparing yourself to others

January 18th, 2013

When you compare your life to others, you may feel lack or bitter about what you don’t have. However when practice gratefulness for what you have in your life, on a regular basis, you feel empowered and full of love for yourself and everyone around you.

My prayer for america…Happy Voting!

November 6th, 2012

By Ernest Holmes

Believing in the Divine Destiny of the United States of America and in the preservation of liberty, security and self-expression for all, I offer this, my prayer for my country:

I know that Divine Intelligence governs the destiny of the United States of America, directing the thought and the activity of all who guide its affairs.

I know that success, prosperity and happiness are the gifts of freedom and the Divine heritage of everyone in this country; that they are now operating in the affairs of every individual in this country.

I know that Divine Guidance enlightens the collective mind of the people of this country, causing it to know that economic security may come to all without the loss of either personal freedom or individual self-expression. I know that no one can believe or be led to believe that personal freedom must be surrendered in order to insure economic security for all.

The All-knowing Mind contains the answer to every problem which confronts this country. I know that every leader in this country is now directed by this All-knowing Mind and has the knowledge of a complete solution to every problem. Each is impelled to act upon this knowledge to the end that abundance, security and peace shall come to all.

And I know that this Spiritual Democracy shall endure, guaranteeing to everyone in this country personal liberty, happiness and self-expression.

Your Gift of Choice

September 22nd, 2012

Realize that today you and I have been given the  greatest gift of life and that is choice.

We get to choose who we are and the people we keep close in our circles.

We get to choose whether we will grow and utilize every inch of our talents each day we are given.

We get to choose our life and the personal style in which we live it.

We get to choose our attitude, the way in which we choose to look at life and take it on each day.

We get to choose our words knowing how they may influence others lives.

We get to choose our actions knowing we are capable of touching others in kind, compassionate ways.

We get to choose what we do for a living and the way we do it.

We get to choose whether we will give goodness to the world.

We get to choose whether we release love to those we love and perfect strangers.

We get to choose our character and the mark we leave on this earth.

We get to choose our leaders, knowing this is one of the hardest responsibilities we evoke on them.

We have been given the greatest gift there is:  Choice.

Your Bank Account

September 11th, 2012

Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400.00.  It carries over no balance from day to day.  Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.  What would you do?  Draw out every cent, of course!

Each of us has such a bank.  It’s name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you with 86400 seconds.  Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose.  It carries over no balance.  It allows no overdraft.  Each day it opens a new account for you.  Each night it burns the remains of the day.  If you fail to use the days’ deposits, the loss is yours.  There is no drawing against tomorrow.  You must live in the present on today’s deposits.  Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success.

The clock is running…Make the most of today.

Here’s a little help…

  • Think about time spend on the internet
  • Think about time spent watching TV
  • Think about time spent driving
  • Think about time spent talking on the phone

You can get that time back…spend it wisely.

How long do you have?

August 30th, 2012
If you live twelve more months, you are going to have 525,000 minutes to invest.
Many of us have been trained to invest a great amount of that commodity in rehearsing our past, cursing a circumstance, nursing a problem, or fueling resentment or simply wasting precious time watching television.
Your thoughts and the seeds you plant with them play out to be your minutes.  Let us invest our minutes in thoughts and activities that lead to the life we want to live, rather than a life we want to avoid.  You have gold in your hands today.  Spend it on your amazing dreams.
